KZAX 94.9 Radio

KZAX 94.9 LP FM is the community radio program of Make.Shift Art Space, a 501(c)3 all-ages arts & music nonprofit in Bellingham, Washington.

I was the Press Intern at KZAX 94.9 from 2019 to 2020 (when I was hired by KZAX’s parent nonprofit, Make.Shift, as Outreach Coordinator). As a Press Intern, I crafted posters and flyers, recorded and edited pieces for air, photographed events and served as editor of the KZAX Blog.

In early 2020, I led the design and copywriting for a recordbreaking Spring Fund Drive. I also coordinated the release of Quarantunes Volume 1 & 2, the proceeds of which went to the Bellingham Arts & Music Community Relief Fund & the Northwest Community Bail Fund.
